Our bee colony moved in with R+M
Beekeeper Roland Roderer has placed his beehive with us
It’s been two years since we moved in and we’ve all settled in really well. The outside areas have also been planted, the fruit trees are already in bloom again and spring has arrived.
Now the time has come for more winged residents to move into our property. With Mr Roland Roderer, we have an experienced beekeeper at our side who has set up one of his bee colonies here. He will look after them here and we are hoping for a productive season and perhaps our first own honey from our immediate neighbourhood.
‘The bees have been resting since autumn and now the hatch is open again and they can fly. They usually start at around 10 degrees. It was still quiet at the moment. There are 20,000 – 25,000 bees in the hive,’ reported Sabrina Wiesemöller, who has been in contact with the apiary for a long time.
